Anggun C. Sasmi is an Indonesian
Diva who changed to be a French citizen and has become an international singer. Anggun as Indonesian singer was
the first to successfully break through the international music arena. Anggun
was born in Jakarta, 29 April 1974. She was the first child of the couple of a
man in art Darto Singo and Dien Herdina are still descendants of Sultan Palace.

She was married to
Michel Georgea (1992), a French engineer and Oliver Maury (2004), Canadian
political scientist. Then she married Cyril Montana, the French author in 2006.
She had her first child on 8 November 2007 named Kirana Cipta Montana Sasmi.
Anggun began her career since the age of 12
years. She launched her first rock album titled I Got the World (1986). She
left Indonesia in 1994 and settled in London for a year. Then moved to France
and met Erick Benzi who helped her musical career. Anggun released her first international
album entitled Snow On The Sahara 1997. From the
album she won the Diamond Export Award. After
that the next album was released sequentially in several languages.
She achieved several
awards including the prestigious gift of "Chevalier
des Arts et Lettres" from the French government. Anggun also twice
to become the ambassador of the United Nations
(UN), the ambassador of Microcredit in 2005 and ambassador of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
in 2009.
