Boa Kwon is a South Korean pop singer who often appeared in Japan and the
United States. She is known by her stage name BoA
acronym for Beat of Angel. BoA was born in Guri,
Gyeonggi-do South Korea, on 5 November 1986. She mastered Korean, Japanese,
English and Mandarin. She became the only non-Japanese Asian singer to have
three albums that sold more than 1 million copies in Japan.

Boa started singing
and dancing since in her childhood. When delivering her sister to audition
talent search SE Entertainment (1988), she glimpsed by the production director
to be a professional artist. Her first Korean album debut entitled Id: Peace B
was released in 2000. Two years later she released her first Japanese album
titled Listen to My Heart. BoA's first American debut
was released online on October 21, 2008 with a single titled Eat You Up. Then the first English album was released
March 17, 2009.
Boa also appeared in
the film industry as the voice of the Over the Hedge version of the Japan /
Korea. Her achievements are Best New Female Artist in
Mnet KM Music Festival 2000, Most Popular Music
Video Award and Best Music Video Category Music Dance Music Video Festival Mnet
in 2002, and awarded as ' the Most Influence Asian
Artist ' and ' Hottest Korean Artists ' in
the MTV Asia Awards 2004.
BoA had to sing a duet
with Westlife in a song Flying Without Wings and got to top played on
MTV in the period 2003 to 2004.
