Alicia Keys is an R
& B singer and soul singer from the United States. She was born in Manhattan, New
York on January 25, 1981 under the name Alicia Augello Cook. Alicia is good in
playing the piano and had won nine Grammy Awards,
11 Billboard Awards and 3
American Awards. Alicia wrote songs since her teens. One of the albums
is the result of her work at the age of 14 years.

Her debut album, Song in a Minor was released in 2001. Gaining success
and the album sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. She became a new artist with the best selling in 2001. Her second
album The Diary of Alicia Keys released in 2003.
Her second album was also successful as her first album, with sales of 8
million copies worldwide.
In 2005 Alicia
released a live album entitled Unplugged
successfully ranked first in America. She became the first woman to have an MTV
Unplugged album to be number one and highest after Nirvana in 1994. She
released her third album in 2007 titled As I Am, and followed by her fourth
album The Element of Freedom in 2009. Alicia is also known as a social activist who did a lot of activities to help
victims of AIDS and poverty in third world countries. Yes, Alicia Keys is the first singer who achieves an MTV
Unplugged album to be number one and highest after Nirvana in 1994.
