Li Bingbing is China's
top actress. She is beautiful and polite. She was born in Harbin, China
on February 27, 1976. Her decency and sincerity can be seen from her behavior
and words. Li was an ambassador of UNEP (United
Nations Environment Programme), WWF Earth Hour ambassadors and ambassadors of
Korean culture in China. Li initially did not want to be an actress, she
dreamed of becoming a teacher. But after graduation she was interested in the
acting. Eventually she persuaded her friend to go to the Shanghai Drama Institute in 1993.

Li Bingbing first film is Seventeen Years
(1999). In 2001, Li starred in the TV series Young
Justice Bao. In 2004, Li starred in the romantic comedy film titled
Waiting Alone. She also played with Jackie Chan and Jet Lie in the film The
Forbidden Kingdom (2008). Her most recent film is Detective Dee and the Mystery
of the Phantom Flame and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
Li was awarded with Best Actress at the Singapore
Film Festival through the film Seventeen Years. In 2001 she received the
title as One of Ten Actor / Best Actress in China. In 2004 she won three
nominations of Chinese Academy Award. In that
year she also was selected as the Most Popular Actress
at the Beijing College Film Festival the 12. In 2005 Li was nominated as
Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Rooster Awards. She has also been selected as Best Leading Actress Award at the Golden Horse Film Awards the 46th for her
role in the film The Message.
