Geena Davis is an actress,
athlete, model, producer and writer from
United States. She was
born in Wareham, Massachusetts January 21, 1956 with the original name Virginia
Elizabeth Davis. Before becoming an actress, she had attended a student
exchange program which made her fluent in Swedish. She received an Honorary
Doctor's degree from Bates College for her work on gender in media studies.
Davis was married to Richard Emmolo (1982-1983), Jeff Goldblum (1987-1990), and
Renny Harlin (1993-1998). Her fourth marriage is with academics Dr. Reza
Jarrahy September 1, 2001.

Davis began a career in modeling is for fashion products. Her first
acting debut was in the film Tootsie (1982). The next movie on the big screen were
as The Fly (1986), Beetlejuice (1988), The Accidental Tourist (1988) and Thelma
& Louise (1991). She also once played a character of American female
president in the film ‘The Commander In Chief’ (2006).
