Katie Holmes is an American actress. She is known in her
role as Joey Potter in the TV series Dawson's Creek (1998-2003). She was born
in Toledo, Ohio, USA, on December 18, 1978 with full name Katherine Noelle
Holmes. Holmes had been engaged to actor Chris Klein. Then after the break the
engagement with Klein, Holmes made relationship with actor Tom Cruise in 2005.

Two months after meeting, she proposed by Tom Cruise at the top of the
Eiffel Tower in Paris. Holmes announced her pregnancy in October 2005 and gave
birth to her first child on 18 April 2006 which was named Suri Cruise. Then Holmes and Cruise were married on November 18, 2006.
Holmes began her career in acting in 1998
with her role in the TV series Dawson's Creek.
Since that time she became known and received many offers to play the movie. She
starred in films such as The Gift (2000), Abandon (2002), Phone Booth (2003),
Batman Begins (2005), Mad Money (2008), The Romantics (2010), The Kennedys
(2011), Don 't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2011), Jack & Jill (2011) and How I
Met Your Mother (2011). Though she starred many films, she acknowledged that almost
of all her films are failed.
