People hear her name through her championships in tennis. Ana Ivanovic is a Serbian tennis. She was born in
Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, on November 6, 1987. Her mother is a
lawyer and her father is a self-employed businessman. Ivanovic studied finance
at a university in Belgrade and Spanish in her free time.
Ivanovic’s parent supports her to her matches. She started her tennis career due to inspirited by Monica Seles, a
tennis player from that country at that time. She has a special interest in
education and child protection, and she became a UNICEF National Ambassador for
Serbia on September 2007.
In 2004, she reached the final of Junior
Wimbledon Tournament. Finally, in 2005 she won her first career singles
title as a qualifier in Canberra, Australia. She always met many great tennis players every time she plays in the tournament;
some of them lose from her. In August 2006, Ivanovic made a breakthrough by defeating the former world no.1 Martina Hingis. Once she was ahead of Kim Clijsters
and Maria Sharapova, but at the United States Open
she lost to Serena Williams.
Ivanovic has played in many great tournaments
internationally. Some she defeated some she won. In this year, she will
head over to the 2012 Fed Cup semifinals in
Moscow and will resume her 2012 Porsche Tennis Grand
Prix.
