Emma
Thompson is an actress, comedian, and scenario author from British. She was born in Paddington,
London, April 15, 1959. Emma is known for her role as Miss Kenton in The
Remains of the Day (1993). She had a relationship with Hugh Laurie in college,
but eventually she was married to actor Kenneth Branagh and divorced in 1994.
Emma then married again with an actor Greg Wise.

Emma's
career in acting was since in 1987. She began her
acting and music since she was in campus. Then she had the opportunity starred
in the BBC drama, Fortunes of War and Tutti Frutti (1987). Then those were followed
by her debut on the big screen in the film Henry V (1989). She obtained more
serious role in the film The Tall Guy (1990).
Emma has starred in
many films including as Professor Sybill Trelawney
in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows. Emma won the Best Actress Academy Awards category through the film
Howards End, and Best Adapted Screenplay Sense and
Sensibility through the film. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress
by the film The Remains of the Day and Best Supporting
Actress through the film In The Name Of the Father.
