Faye Wong is a singer,
songwriter, actress
and model from China. She is one of the famous
female vocalists in the
history of Chinese music. Wong was born in Beijing, August 8, 1969 with the
original name Xia Lin.

Wong Wei Dou had ever
married with Dou Wei in June 1996; she was blessed with a daughter who was born
on January 3, 1997 named Dou Jingtong. Her first marriage ended in divorce.
Then she married again in 2005 with Li Yapeng and gave birth to second daughter
on May 27, 2006.
Wong started her career in music and a model in Hong Kong. She signed a
contract with Cinepoly and released three albums. However, because little
public attention, she decided to study vocal in New York. After returning to
Hong Kong, she released an album titled Coming Home (1992). Her next albums are
Restless (1996), Faye Wong (1997), Scenic Tour (1998), Stronger and Only Love
Eyes on Me (1999), Fable (2000), and To Love (2001).
Besides singing, Wong
also starred in TV series and films such as Wong Kar-Wai's Chungking Express
(1994) and Leabing Me, and Loving You (2004). Wong is
an artist who is always away from publicity; even she was often not
present at the conferring of awards events.
