Diana Ross is a singer,
songwriter and actress.
She was born with the name Diane Ernestine Earle named Ross in Detroit, March
24, 1944. She began her music career by forming a vocal group called 'Primetes'
(1959). After obtaining a contract with Motown Records 'Primetes' renamed with
'The Supreme'.

Diana began a solo career in 1970 with the release of single 'Is not
No Mountain High Enough'. In June 1973 Diana released the album 'Touch Me In
The Morning'. Diana the fly after a duet with Lionel Richie in a song called
'Endless Love'. She is also a career in acting by starring in various films
such as 'Biography Of Billie Holiday', 'Mahogany' (1975), 'The Wiz' (1978) and
'The Boss' (1979).
She has received
numerous awards too. In 1972 she was awarded the Golden
Globe. In the 1976 Billboard Magazine named Diana as Female Entertainer
Of the Century. In 1977 she won the eight award American
Music Awards and won a Tony Award for the
show 'An Evening With Diana Ross'. The 1993 Guinness Book Of World Records
declared Diana as the most successful female artist in history. Diana also received two stars on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame as a solo artist and as The
Supreme personnel. December 2007 she was awarded by the John F. Kennedy Center
Honors Award Performing Arts. Diana Ross is a singer with golden
voice.
