Gong Li is an actress
from Republic of China. She was born in Shenyang, Liaoning on December
31, 1965. Gong Li is the youngest of five children. His father was an economics
professor and her mother a teacher. She studied at the Beijing Central College
of Drama, graduating in 1989. Since November 2008 her status changed to a
Singapore citizen due to marry a Singapore businessman Ooi Hoe Seng named although
in 2010 she was divorced from her husband.

Gong Li first the debut is the film 'Red
Sorghum' which was awarded the 1987 Golden Bear
in Berlin Film Festival. In the film she
collaborated with Chinese director Zhang Yimou prominent. Later many other
films she starred are 'Codename Gougar' (1989), 'The Terracotta Warrior'
(1989), "Ju Dou" (1990), 'Raise The Red Lantern' (1992), and 'The
Story Of Qiu Ju' (1992) which was awarded her at the Venice
International Film Festival for Best Actress.
Gong Li starred in 1993 film by Chen Kaige
'Farewell' and 'My Concubine' which was awarded the Palme
d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1997
