Rani
Mukherjee is a Bollywood actress. She was born in Kolkata, West
Bengal, India, March 21, 1978. She came from a Bengali, her father had a studio
called Studio Firmalaya, her mother was a singer and her brother is a film
producer. Rani started her career in acting by playing
debut in movie Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1997). Her name became well known after
starring in the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998),
Karan Johan's work.

After that, she began
starring in famous films such as Mann (1999), (Har Dil Jo Pyar Korega (2000),
Chupke Chupke Chori Chori (2001), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Mujhse Dosti
Karoge (2002), Saathiya (2002), Chalte Chalte (2003), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Yuva
(2004), Hum Tum (2004), Black (2005), Maya Talwar (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007),
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), Luck By Chance (2009) and Koochie Koochie Hota Hain
(2010).
Besides her career in acting, Rani also appeared on talk shows
with some of the leading artists. Rani has received numerous awards and she is the
only actress who has won two awards in one film for the Best Actress
Filmfare Award & Filmfare Critics Award Best Performance for the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
