Vidya Balan is an actress from India. She was
born in Ottapalam, Palakkad, Kerala, India, January 1, 1978. She belonged to
the artists who pay attention to education. Balan earned a sociology degree at
St. Xavier's College. Then she went on S2 at University Of Mumbai.
Balan began her career in acting by enrolling in acting auditions of Malayalam
film Chakram with Mohanlal. But she did not qualify and was disappointed that
excluded twice for no apparent reason while casting. Finally she turned to
television advertising.

In 1998, Balan have
appeared in various commercials, directed by Pradeep Sarkar. She had also been
received supporting roles in music videos of bands there such as Euphoria,
Shubha Mudgal and Pankaj Udhas. Those were her career
in television commercials.
In 2003, Balan finally
starred in a movie called Bhalo Theko. Then she began her first Hindi film
titled debut Parineeta. After she got success from the two films, the spirit
comes again. She played with Sanjay Dutt in Lage Raho Munna Bhai film. The
movie received a good response and became the second best
selling film at the time. Balan also received numerous awards including best artist in the event Anandalok Puraskar and best
actress in the Filmfare Awards.
