Titiek Puspa is Indonesian
professional actress who cultivates the art of music, acting,
choreography and theater. She was born the Tanjung, South Kalimantan, 1
November 1937. Her real name is Sudarwati, then converted by the family into
Kadarwati and last changed again to Sumarti. She married a Mus Mualim and has 2
children and 14 grandchildren.

Her career began when she
followed the music festival without the knowledge of their parents. She won the
Radio Star at RRI Semarang. Then she became the permanent singer in London Symphony Orchestra Group. Her first
album was released in 1955 in Semarang. After that, many of her albums are
released, including Kisah Hidup (1963), Mama (1964), Bing (1973), Kupu-Kupu
Malam (1977), Apanya Dong (1982), Horas Kasih (1983), Virus Cinta (1997 ) and
others.
In addition to music
career, Titiek Puspa also starred in many films
and soap operas. Among them, Minah Gadis Dusun
(1965), Dibalik Cahaya Gemerlapan (1976), Inem Pelayan Seksi (1976), Karminem
(1977), Rojali And Juhela (1980) and Koboi Sutra Ungu (1982). She also
performed theater plays such as, operetta Papiko (Persatuan Artis Pop Ibukota)
(1972) and operetta Kupu Kupu (2006).
Although she grew and
was sentenced to have 2-stage cancer, she did not reduce her spirits. She is still active and creative even she
still had time to write songs. Titiek Puspa is an honorable
Indonesian mother, and she is kindhearted
Indonesian woman in adopting many children until they grew up now.
