Yui Yoshioka is a female singer and songwriter
from Japan. She was born in Fukuoka, March 26, 1987. Yui began writing
her own songs since the third grade junior high school. In high school she was
often seen performing music group Bianco Nero in the streets. Finally she
decided to leave school, then studied singing, writing songs and playing guitar
in music courses Fukuoka city.
In the March 2004 Yui
auditioned ' SD Audition ' held Sony Music Japan. She entered the top ten and gets a
very high value of the jury. After auditioning many record companies fought to
sign her.
Her debut single ' Feel My Soul ' was released on February 23, 2006. The
song was used as the theme song drama serial ' Na
Fukigen Gene '. After releasing four singles, Yui released her first
album titled ' From Me To You ' on February 22, 2006. Her second album 'Can’t Buy My Love’ stand on top of the
Oricon album charts for 2 continuously weeks.
Yui’s 10th single is the
‘Love & Truth' was released on 26 September, 2007 and became the theme song
for the film titled' Close Note '. Besides that, the single 'Life' and 'Rolling
Star' became the opening and closing the 5th
the anime Bleach series. Yui is also taking a career in acting. Her
first acting in a movie called ' Midnight Sun '
(Taiyou no Uta) which is played first in the 2006 Cannes Film Festival and was released in Japan on
June 17, 2006.
