Victoria was a Queen
of Great Britain, Ireland and India. She was born at Kensington Palace,
London May 24, 1819. She was the only child of the Duke of Kent and Strathem and
Princess Victoria of and Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. She was baptized in the Cupola
Room at Kensington Palace June 24, 1819 by the Archbishop of Canterbury
(Charles Manners-Sutton) and the elderly godfather is Prince Regent, the
Emperor Alexander I of Russia, Queen Charlotte of Wurttemberg and the widow of
the Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. Although christened with the name Alexandrina
Victoria, she was officially called The Majesty Princess Victoria of Kent. She
was the last queen of Hanover dynasty. She married
a Prince of Germany named Albert on February 1840. She was blessed with nine
children.

Queen
Victoria's reign lasted more than 63 years. Her reign was longer than any British king or queen. She
successfully defended the existence of the monarchy in the British system and
made it as a political institution ceremonial. Queen Victoria's reign was
marked by a massive expansion of the British Empire. At that time the
industrial revolution was the culmination of a period of social change,
economic and technological importance in the United Kingdom. British Empire reached the peak and into the power of the
mighty superpower.
After Queen Victoria
died on January 22, 1901, her successor was King Edward VII came from
Saxe-Coburg dynasty and Gotha. She was the British
queen who had successfully established the British.
