Rihanna is an R
& B singer from Barbados. She was born in Saint Michael, Barbados,
February 20, 1988 under the name Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Her father was a cloth
factory warehouse supervisor with Barbados and Irish descent and her mother a
retired accounting with Afro-Guyanese descent. At the age of 16 she moved to
the United States for music career under the
guidance of record producer Evan Rogers. She signed a contract with the
leadership of Defjam Recordings Jay-Z. She was in a relationship with singer
Chris Brown.

Rihanna released her first album entitled Music of the Sun in 2005. Less than a year later she
released her second album entitled A Girl Like Me 2006. Her third album Good
Girl Gone Bad was released in 2007. Her fourth album is Rated R titled was
released November 2009. The next album was released in 2010 titled Loud and
Talk That Talk was released in 2011. Rihanna also comes into acting. Her first
acting in the movie Bring It On: All Or Nothing 2006.

singer in the history of the Billboard charts in the 10 singles that
reached number one on the Hot 100. Rihanna has won several awards, among
others, nine Grammy Awards nominations and won Best Rap / Song Collaboration for the song sung
Umbrella with Jay-Z, World Music Awards 2007 for
Best Selling Pop Female Artist and Female Entertainer Of The Year, BRIT Awards 2011 for the Best
International Female Solo Artist, as well as four Grammy awards, four American Music Awards and 18 Billboard
Music Awards. Rihanna was also selected as the official
ambassador for the youth and culture of Barbados.
