Natalie Renee McIntyre, better known by Macy Gray is a singer, actress, songwriter and producer
from the United States. Macy Gray was born in Canton, Ohio, USA, September 6, 1967.
Gray has been married to Tracy Hinds (1996-1998) and has three children. Gray
began her career in music since about 1998.
For the love of music, Gray has a music school named The Macy Gray Music Academy, which opened since 2005.
Gray’s career in music can be said to be good.
Until now, Macy has released four albums. Of the four albums, one compilation
album and one a live album, while the fourth album was released in March 2007
titled Big. One of the famous songs, Coming Back to You,
becomes the soundtrack of the film Deja Vu.
I Try, one of the famous songs from the
multi-platinum album On How Life Is (1999), have brought her to the Grammy
Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
2001. That year, she was also nominated as Song of the
Year and Record of the Year. Gray also
appeared in several films, namely Training Day, Spider-Man, and Idlewild.
Gray's name was mounting for some time to collaborate with a great singer. Gray received support from the famous singer is Fatboy Slim, The Black Eyed Peas, and
Slick Rick through the song The World Is Yours
from the movie soundtrack The Rush Hour 2.
