Miyuki Melody Ishikawa who is better known by her stage name Melody, is
a J-Pop singer and TV
host. She has born in Hawaii, February 24, 1982. Melody moved to Japan
to pursue her singing career. She married
Japanese musician named Miyavi. She started her first debut on February 19,
2003 with the song "Dreamin' Away" that was recorded under Toy's
Factory. In October 2008, she wrote on her blog that she will end her career in music and she instead focus on pursuing a career as a fashion designer.

Melody’s name became famous after singing the single "Realize"
which became the theme song for a Drama series
called "Dragon Zakura", which debuted sixth on the Oricon charts. Then
in 2006, her single titled "Lovin' U" was used in a Raycious
commercial.
Melody’s singles were often became theme songs
of several movies. Her single titled
"Our Journey", was used as the theme song for the 2006 movie Gen Yu
Den starring Rena Tanaka, who also co-wrote the lyrics of the song. After that,
in 2007 she made an appearance in a Japanese Subaru Forester commercial in
which her single "Finding My Road" was also used as promotion.
Melody started hosting the English- Japanese music show J-Melo on NHK
World TV in April 2007. The drama series "Kodoku No Kake - Itoshikihito
Yo" in summer 2007 used “Love Story" that was written by her sister
Kuris. Melody was cast as Yumi in the Electronic Arts video game Need for Speed
Carbon together with the song "Feel the Rush" which was written by
her sister Kuris. In 2008, she released her first compilation
album The Best of Melody: Timeline.
